Solicitation of Quotes:

The Town of Normal will receive sealed proposals for the following:

Town of Normal – Train Restroom Restoration 2024

Quotes must be submitted to Ladeen Finley, Facilities Management Asst. Supervisor, no later than 3:00 pm Thursday, February 22, 2024 prevailing time. Any questions related to the project must be submitted by 12:00 pm Tuesday, February 20, 2024 and will be answered via addendum. A mandatory site visit will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 15, 2024. Substantial completion is expected to be achieved on or before Thursday, May 30, 2024. An actual project schedule will be established at a pre-construction meeting will all relevant parties.

Quotes may be submitted in person, by mail, by fax, by email or other means of delivery. Any questions regarding this quote shall be addressed by the listed project contact.

Pursuant to the Purchasing Manual, Town staff may purchase goods and services less than twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) in cost by obtaining quotes from three (3) or more vendors. Although cost is an important factor, a quote is not a bud and town staff may accept any quote submitted whether or not it is the lowest cost. Quotes for the referenced product or service must be received in the office of the listed point of contact by the submission deadline described above. The Town will only review quotes actually received and the risk of loss in transmission is on the vendor submitting the quote. Vendors are encouraged to verify receipt with the identified point of contact prior to the deadline.

State statutes and local ordinance require the payment of prevailing wage by all contractors and subcontractors on this job. Project documents may be obtained from the listed point of contact. The Town of Normal reserves the right to reject and or all quotes received and to waive any formalities in the solicitation procedures. The contract award will be made by staff and their decision will be final.
