Description:

Sealed proposals will be received at the office of the City Clerk, 101 S. Illinois Street, Belleville, Illinois, 62220 until 10:00 A.M., Friday, March 3, 2023, for the 6 th StreetReconstruction Project. The sealed proposals will be publicly opened and read at 10:00 am, Friday, March 3, 2023. A Prebid meeting will be held on February 28, 2023 at 3 pm, location TBD, with all registered bidders.

The proposed improvement consists of removal of the existing roadway, curbing, sidewalk, and driveway; removal, adjusting, and altering existing storm sewer; constructing new PCC pavement, ADA compliant sidewalks and driveways, curb and gutter; pavement striping; placing incidental hot-mix asphalt; block wall construction; and performance of other related and appurtenant work.

Qualifications:
The contractor must be pre-qualified with the Illinois Department of Transportation and must also furnish a current certificate of eligibility in order to bid on this project.

The contractor will be required to enter into a project labor agreement.

Not less than the prevailing rate of wages as found by the County or the Department of Labor, or determined by the Court on review, shall be paid to all laborers, workmen and mechanics performing work under this contract.
