Description: NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS

NOTICE is hereby given that the Township of Quincy will receive sealed Bids for 706 Maine St Renovations to Existing Building until 11:00 AM on the 25thth day of October 2023, at the office of City Clerk, Suite #129, 730 Maine Street, Quincy, IL 62301. The sealed bids will be publicly opened and read aloud immediately afterwards in the City Council Chambers, 730 Maine Street, Quincy, IL 62301 for the following project.

706 Maine St Renovations to Existing Building
Work description: The proposed improvement includes but is not limited to the following 706 Maine St

•        Removal and replacement of the existing Roof
•        Removal and replacement of the existing Windows and flashings
•        All work relating to exterior masonry repairs
•        Removal and replacement of the existing exterior columns
•        Interior basement door demolition and wall construction

A NON-MANDATORY Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 17thrd at 10:00 AM in the Quincy Township Conference Room on the second floor of the building at 706 Maine St. Quincy, IL 62301.

The Township of Quincy, in accordance with the Laws of the State of Illinois, hereby notifies all Bidders that the Township reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive minor informalities or technicalities, to advertise for new bids, or to request confirmation or clarification from any bidder regarding information contained in a bid. The Township will affirmatively ensure that the contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement will be awarded to a responsible and responsive Bidder without discrimination on the ground of race, color or national origin, but the Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids received and to waive formalities.

Bids may be held by the Township of Quincy for a period not to exceed 45 days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract.

Bids shall be received in a sealed envelope addressed to: City of Quincy, City Clerk, Suite #129, 730 Maine Street, Quincy, IL 62301, which is marked in the lower left-hand corner EXACTLY as follows:
