CHANGE ORDER NOTICE: The radioactive material that was to be used in the irradiator is unavailable. The only solution to keep this project moving is to reconfigure the irradiator with a larger radioactive source than was originally planned while adding some smaller sources to meet the performance goals that we had asked for. This would require the following changes; 1. A price increase of $64,000 is needed on the contract to cover costs and transportation of the additional radioactive material. New total cost will be $585,369. 2. The reconfiguration of the irradiator requires federal regulatory approval from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. This process generally takes 180 days. A time extension to December 31, 2024 is needed to cover the regulatory process and any unforeseen delays.
