Item # 1:


The Illinois State Police (ISP), Division of Forensic Services (DFS), Forensic Sciences Command (FSC) is requesting procurement of a three (3) year agreement to perform microscope maintenance service and repairs on all FSC forensic science laboratory microscopes to include one (1) base year of twelve (12) months and two (2) sequential twelve (12) month periods. Bids are to be held firm by the bidder for a minimum of 90 days.

The ISP forensic science laboratory system is currently accredited by the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB) to ISO/IEC 17025. It is essential for forensic testing laboratories to demonstrate equipment used in the examination process are properly maintained and in good working condition. The ISP forensic science laboratory system has implemented the following maintenance program for its microscopes in order to comply with this requirement: Comparison Microscopes - Service once a year; Stereo Microscopes -Service once every three (3) years; Compound Microscopes - Service once a year.

The awardee must deliver services within 20 days of the award unless other terms mutually agreed upon. Work must be done Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Pricing must include travel. Bid will be awarded to the apparent lowest bidding vendor that bids on all items. Quote for each line should reflect the total amount for three (3) years.
