ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

The City of Galesburg will receive Bids for the Phase 2 Renovation of the Hawthorne Pool at the City of Galesburg, City Hall – Erickson Conference room, Galesburg Illinois 61401, until 11:00 AM local time on January 3, 2024, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

Questions prior to bid opening shall be submitted electronically to Cody Basham via cbasham@klingner.com. Include in the Subject Line: Hawthorne Pool – Phase 2 Renovation – Question Submittal. Reference Specification Section or Plan Sheet in email. No question shall be taken over the phone.

A non-mandatory pre-bidding conference will be held on December 15, 2023 at 11:00 AM, at the project site located at 2331 Veterans Drive, Galesburg, IL 61401.

A certified check or bank draft, payable to City of Galesburg, negotiable U.S. Government bonds (at par value) or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total Bid shall be submitted with each Bid.

Compliance with all applicable Federal, State and local laws, rules and regulations is required. Vendors will be required to comply with all applicable EEO laws and regulations. The submission of the bid by the offeror in response to this Advertisement for Bids constitutes an acknowledgement of and an agreement by the Offeror that it understands and will comply with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act and the Illinois Preference Act (30 ILCS 570). Resolution No. 90-74 requires compliance with the Human Relations Act and all pertinent federal and state rules and regulations.

City of Galesburg reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to accept other than the lowest bid, and to waive any irregularities or informalities in bids received.

Bids may be held by City of Galesburg for a period not to exceed thirty (60) days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding the Contract.
