NOTICE FOR SALE

Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Galesburg, Illinois proposes to sell the following-described real estate as set forth below:

LOCATION AND PARCEL NUMBERS:

Approximately the southern 6.5 acres of the following property

Commonly known as: 905 Maple Ave

Current Zoning: I-Institutional

Parcel number: 99-10-126-030

PRESENT USE:

The parcel is currently the site of the former Churchill Jr. High School.

CONDITIONS, RESTRICTIONS AND TERMS OF SALE:

Certain conditions, restrictions and terms of sale concerning the properties will apply. These Conditions, Restrictions and Terms of Sale are included in the Request for Bids packet referred to in Section D. below.

REQUESTS FOR BIDS:

Request for Bid packets may be obtained from the Purchasing Agent, Tifani Miller, located in the Finance Department, at City Hall, 55 West Tompkins Street, or by visiting the purchasing page on the city’s website www.ci.galesburg.il.us/government/departments/city_purchasing/

BID OPENING:

The City of Galesburg will accept sealed bids for the purchase of said real estate until 5:00 p.m. local time, November 6, 2023, at the Purchasing Agent’s Office at City Hall. All bids will be opened and considered at the regular meeting of the City Council on November 6, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
