The City of Batavia, IL will accept sealed bids for the River Street Parking Structure 2023 Maintenance Repairs. Project consists of providing all materials, labor, equipment, supervision, and services required to perform maintenance repairs to the Parking Structure in accordance with these Contract Documents. Work includes concrete repairs to the floors, stair nosings, walls, expansion joint replacement, removal and replacement of a traffic bearing waterproofing membrane, painting of traffic markings and handrails, isolated replacement of isolation joint sealant, and tuckpointing.

Bids will be received by the Civil Engineer, in the Engineering Division, at the above address until 2:00 pm, Thursday, July 13, 2023. All bids will be publicly opened at 2:01 pm, Thursday, July 13, 2023.

Bidders are advised of the following requirements of this contract: 1) Illinois Prevailing Wage; 2) 5% Bid Security with submittal of bid; 3) 110% Performance Security within fifteen (15) calendar days after Contract award; 4) applicable OSHA and EPA requirements.

The City Council of the City of Batavia reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any technicalities, discrepancies, or information in the bids. The City of Batavia does not discriminate in admission, access to, treatment, or employment in its programs and activities.

The Owner reserves the right to require the low bidder to file proof of, within seven (7) days of the bid opening, his ability to finance and execute the project. This proof shall include, but not be limited to, a financial statement, list of equipment owned by bidder, backlog of jobs under a Contract only to a Bidder who furnishes satisfactory evidence that he has the ability, sufficient capital, facilities, and plant to enable him to prosecute the work successfully and promptly, and to complete the work within the time specified in the Contract Documents.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, offers, or proposal submitted, or to advertise for new bids. The Owner reserves the right to defer the acceptance of any bid and the award of a Contract for a period not exceeding sixty (60) days after the date of opening the bids.
