The Marion VAMC is located at 2401 West Main Street, Marion, IL. An outdoor fitness station would allow space for additional fitness equipment that can be used for both employees and veterans. Since 2018 VHA has announced Whole Health implementation to be a national priority. Adding an outdoor fitness station will allow the Whole Health Recreational Therapists as well as many other disciplines such as Physical therapy, Occupational therapy to expand services and begin offering additional strengthening, fitness, and wellness classes. The outdoor fitness gym will have a total of 10 Fitness Stations with capacity to support approximately 16 people. Two stations were purchased last year for this project. Eight additional stations will be purchased for this project completion. The outdoor fitness equipment will be installed into concrete with a rubberized top offering a strong, stable foundation and safety with use. Three custom shade sails are part of the equipment package for sun protection. Also included are the in-ground general installation instructions. Upon completion of the contract, the Marion VAMC will have a new outdoor fitness station for both employees and veterans to focus on self-care, health, wellness, and fitness. The outdoor fitness equipment will be installed into concreted pads offering a strong and stable foundation for use. VA Project No. 657A5-23-121 has been submitted by Marion Engineering for the installation of the concrete pad.

Delivery date before or by 12/31/2024. Will be installed upon completion of construction site. Items to be delivered on-site as construction is completed
Contract Administration Data
All contract administration functions will be retained by the Department of Veterans Affairs. The Contracting Officer will be the only person authorized to approve changes or modify any of the requirements under this contract. The Contractor shall communicate with the Contracting Officer on all matters pertaining to contract administration. Only the Contracting Officer will be authorized to make commitments or issue changes that affect price, quantity, or quality of performance of this contract. In the event the Contractor effects any such change at the direction of any person other than the Contracting Officer, the change shall be considered unauthorized, and no adjustment will be made in the contract price to cover any increase in costs incurred as a result thereof.
