Description

This pre-solicitation notice serves as a synopsis and is posted in accordance with FAR subpart 5.2, Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions. This is not a solicitation. Vendors shall not submit a quote until, and/or if, the solicitation is posted to the Governmentwide Point-of-Entry via www.SAM.gov. This announcement shall NOT be construed as a commitment by Brookhaven Science Associates LLC (BSA) to award a Subcontract. Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) reserves the right to use any and all information submitted by, or obtained from, an interested party in any manner BNL determines is appropriate, including, but not limited to, the creation of a solicitation.



Background:



BNL is a Department of Energy (DOE) National Laboratory multidisciplinary research facility, located on Long Island, New York.



BNL intends to compete the subject requirement, to be utilized within the United States. This requirement will provide for full and open competition.



Note: One or more of the items under this acquisition is subject to Free Trade Agreements.



Need:



BNL has the following requirements:



Please see attached DRAFT Statement of Work and Technical Specifications.



BNL expects to make one (1) award.



The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334516, Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing (Size Standard, 1,000 employees), and the applicable PSC is 6640 – Laboratory Equipment and Supplies. Interested parties must be registered under the NAICS code in the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to submitting their quotes.



BNL intends to issue solicitation RFP-443740 in support of this requirement. The anticipated award contract type is a Firm Fixed Price contract. At this time, BNL anticipates award date to be on or around July 2024.



Delivery Date:



BNL requires site acceptance and commissioning report no later than 61 weeks after award of contract.
