THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI)/SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE BEING RELEASED PURSUANT TO FEDERAL ACQUISITION REGULATION (FAR) PART 10: MARKET RESEARCH.





This RFI is issued solely for informational, market research, and planning purposes only. It does not constitute an Invitation for Bid (IFB), Request for Quote (RFQ), or Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFQ/IFB/RFP in the future. No solicitation document exists at this time. Issuance of this notice does not constitute any obligation on the part of the Government and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. In addition, respondents are advised that the United States Government is under no obligation to pay for any information or administrative cost incurred in response to this RFI. At this time, proprietary information is not being requested, and respondents shall refrain from providing proprietary information in response to this RFI. The specifications for this requirement will only be available upon solicitation issuance.





PURPOSE:



The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), St. Louis District, Rend Lake Project is conducting this RFI/Sources Sought in support of Market Research to notify and seek potential qualified/interested members of industry to gain knowledge of interest in providing Visitor Center Attendant Services for the Rend Lake Visitor’s Center.





DESCRIPTION OF WORK



The contracts awarded will be Blanket Purchase Orders (BPAs), which will be effective for 5 years from date of award. BPA Calls will be issued on these awarded BPAs.





The Contractor shall provide services, to include all personnel and supervision necessary, to conduct the primary responsibility of customer service to the visiting public at the Rend Lake Visitor’s Center. The Visitor Center attendant duties include greeting visitors, answering visitor inquiries, being familiar with the facilities, programs, and regulations, selling and issuing America the Beautiful and Corps of Engineers annual passes, disseminating information to visitors and Corps of Engineers personnel, stocking brochure racks, and performing light housekeeping of the Visitor Center. The Visitor Center Attendant shall operate government furnished computer, monitor, printer, mouse, keyboard, credit card terminal, software, telephone, and radio to efficiently operate the Visitor Center. The Visitor Center Attendant shall assist the public by providing accurate information concerning the Corps of Engineers policies and programs as required. Professional conduct is required when performing all elements of this agreement.





The schedule of work, including days of week and number of hours worked, will be identified in each BPA Call.





The Contractor must be a Visitor Center Attendant.





GENERAL INFORMATION:



The proposed acquisition will be a Blanket Purchase Order (BPA) Agreement with BPA calls issued against the BPA.



North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this acquisition is 561210 – Facility Support Services.
