T-6/TH-73 Engine Spares Procurement





The Commander, Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWC-AD) Patuxent River, MD



and the Naval Undergraduate Flight Training Systems, PMA-273, located at Naval Air Systems



Command (NAVAIR), Patuxent River, MD are conducting a Market Survey of Industry to



determine potential interested sources that have the skills and experience required to provide all



labor, engineering, configuration management, equipment, tools, facilities, technical data



to accomplish the manufacture of T-6 and TH-73 engines.





The Government intends to use this information to best determine whether the T-6/TH-73 Engine Spares Procurement effort should be competed via “full and open competition” or as a



“small business set-aside.” The T-6/TH-73 Engine Spares Procurement will include, but not limited to, the following:





Requirements:




  1. Manufacture of 16 PT-6B engines (Part Number 3049755-01) and 16 PT6A-6 engines (Part Number 3118830-01) over the FY24 to FY28 period in accordance with the OEM technical data package.



Market Research:



The interested parties are required to demonstrate that they have the capability to produce the T-6 and TH-73 engines in accordance with the specification and part numbers identified in paragraph 1. above. The Government does not own the technical data package for the engines.



Interested vendors shall submit responses by email to Jaime Weber at jaime.l.weber4.civ@us.navy.mil. The capability statement package (no more than FIVE (5) single-sided 8.5 X 11 inch pages, font no smaller than 10 point) should demonstrate the ability to provide the requirement as listed above. All responses shall include Company Name, Company Address, Company Business Size as it relates to NAICS 336413 Current Small Business Status, Cage Code, DUNS number, NAICS code(s) and Points-of-Contact (POC) including name, phone number, fax number, and email address.



Within your capability statement package, please include the answers to the following queries:



1. Does your company have the ability to obtain necessary technical data to demonstrate that they have the capability to produce the T-6 and TH-73 engines in accordance with the specification and part numbers identified in paragraph 1. above.



Classified material SHALL NOT be submitted. All proprietary or corporate data received shall be clearly identified and will be protected from release to sources outside the Government. Any resulting contract is anticipated to have a security classification level of controlled unclassified information (CUI) at time of contract award for personnel and facilities clearances. One electronically submitted response shall be received no later than xx time and date and reference: PMA-273 T-6/TH-73 Engine Spares Procurement Sources Sought. Responses to this request may not be returned. The Government is under no obligation to consider information received after the required due date as part of the formal market research for this acquisition.
