Description

The Garrison Police Department has a requirement for 30 Ballistic helmets



Features of the Helmets need to consist of the following:





Needs to be Black in color



Needs to have the following Performance Standards:



NIJ III-A; DEF(AUST)10469; 9mm BFD 731 m/s



> Ballistic Performance: NIJ Level III-A (according to NIJ STD 0106.01/0108.01)



> Fragment Performance: 17gr V50 = 731 m/s (2400 ft/s)



> Backface Deformation: 9mm FMJ RN @ 425 m/s (1400 ft/s), BFD

> Ballistic Certification: Certified by a third-party NIJ accredited laboratory





Needs to perform at the following Environmental Conditions / MIL-STD-810-G Method:



501.5P1 High Temperature; 510.5PII Blowing Sand/Dust



502.5P1 Low Temperature; 514.6 Loose Cargo Vibration



507.5 Humidity; 500.5PI Low Pressure (Altitude)



509.5 Salt Fog





Needs to be approximately this weight:



Complete system weight includes helmet shell, accessory rails, impact liner and retention system



Size 1; Shell: .79 kg (1.75 lbs); Complete system: 1.18 kg (2.6 lbs)



Size 2; Shell: .84 kg (1.85 lbs); Complete system: 1.25 kg (2.75 lbs)





Needs to have the following sizes:
