PROJECT INFORMATION: Under the contract, the contractor will be required to perform construction services as follows. Repairs will be performed to the existing Burns Harbor North Breakwater rubblemound structure. Armor stone sized 11-20 tons each will be placed along the lake side of the breakwater to fill existing voids. Repairs will be performed to meet the design slopes of the breakwater, along approximately 2000' of the structure in various locations as needed.

ACQUISITION INFORMATION: Competition for this acquisition is RESTRICTED to SERVICE DISABLED VERTERAN OWNED - SMALL BUSINESS. The North American Industry System Classification Code is 237990, with a small business size standard in dollars of $36.5M. The magnitude of cost for construction is estimated between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000.
The Solicitation package (Invitation for Bids - "IFB") will be downloadable from the INTERNET ONLY. The project specification files are Portable Document Format (PDF) files and can be viewed, navigated, or printed using Adobe Acrobat Reader. Once the package is released into advertisement at this website ("Federal Business Opportunities"), interested bidders may download the full package, includes: specification and drawings files. The Solicitation package is planned for advertisement on or about January 24, 2019, with bids due 30 calendar days following the issuance/release date of the Solicitation package.
IN THE CASE OF A DISCREPANCY BETWEEN THE DATES PUBLISHED IN THIS NOTICE AND THOSE CALLED OUT IN THE IFB DOCUMENT, THE DATES IN THE IFB DOCUMENT OVERRIDES THOSE PUBLISHED HEREIN THIS NOTICE; THIS IS RELATIVE TO THE IFB ISSUANCE DATE AND THE DUE DATE FOR BIDS.
