1. This procurement has been identified as race neutral. If DBE participation is proposed, complete the forms enclosed with the RFP.
2. A pre-proposal meeting will be held over a period of two days at the dates and times specified below and in Section IV, Proposed Schedule for the Procurement. Attendance is encouraged but is not mandatory. The meetings will begin promptly at the stated times. Metra requests notification to: email@example.com by persons planning to attend. Day one of the pre-proposal meeting will begin at 9:00A.M. on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at Metra's headquarters at 547 W. Jackson Blvd., Chicago, IL 60661, on the 2nd Floor. Immediately following this meeting a site visit at Chicago Union Station, located at the northeast corner of west Jackson Boulevard and south Clinton streets. Participants will assemble in the Great Hall. Immediately following this site visit, there will be a site visit at the BNSF Shop located at 432 West 14th Street, Chicago, IL 60607. Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) will be required for the site visits. Day two of the pre-proposal meeting will be held at 6:30 A.M. on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at the BNSF Hill Yard, located at 525 North Broadway, Aurora, IL 60505. Following this site visit, there will be a site visit at the Route 59 Station, located at 1090 North Route 59, Aurora, IL 60504.
ALL ATTENDEES ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR A HARD HAT, ORANGE SAFETY VEST (CLASS II REFELECTIVE STRIPING), SAFETY GLASSES (SIDE SHIELDS FOR PRESCRIPTION EYEWEAR), AND STEEL OR SIMILAR SAFETY TOE BOOTS ON THE SECOND PART OF THE DAY ONE AND ALL OF THE DAY TWO PRE-PROPOSAL MEETING.
3. All questins and Requests for Changes or Approved Equals (RFAs) regarding this RFP shall be submitted in writing to Joseph Onesto, Senior Contracting Agent via e-mail at: firstname.lastname@example.org by 4:00 P.M. on Wednesday, May 22, 2019.
4. This RFP may be subject to Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and/or the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) funding, pursuant to financial assistance agreements with said agencies. Acceptance of any proposal may be subject to concurrence by the FTA or IDOT. Proposers will be required to certify that they are not on the Comptroller General's list of ineligible contractors.
All proposals must be received at the above address on the 11th Floor in Materials Management NO LATER THAN 4:00 P.M. (CST) ON MONDAY, August 19, 2019. Proposals received after this date and time will not be accepted.
