Tire Anomaly Detection System at the Moline Weigh Station I-74/280WB MP 8, Henry, IL

The tire anomaly detection system sensors shall be supplied, installed, and integrated into the existing Ramp WIM System for the automatic detection of tire anomalies at ramp speeds (30 mph to 50 mph). The tire anomaly detection system shall be capable of detecting flat, missing, and mismatched tires. The information will be flagged and sent to the existing Ramp WIM System to be included in the vehicle record file.

The tire anomaly detection system shall support the screening of commercial vehicles at highway and ramp speeds at weigh station facilities to identify those vehicles which are unsafe due to flat, missing or miss-matched tires. The system identifies vehicles which have tire anomalies and shall provide the ability for station operator(s) to select these vehicles for inspection.
