THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY - Solicitations are not available at this time. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. The information gathered from market research questionnaire will be vital in the formation and set aside status of the solicitation.
The Bureau of Prisons has a future requirement for Welding Program services for the Administrative United States Penitentiary (hereinafter referred to as AUSP) Thomson, Illinois. The contractor shall provide services for 12 students per year in accordance with the attached Statement of Work. The Government contemplates awarding of an indefinite-delivery, requirements-type contract with firm-fixed unit prices resulting from the future solicitation. The contract year shall consist of a 12-month base year with four 12-month option years for renewal.
Market research is being conducted to determine interest and capability of potential sources for this requirement. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary. The Government will not pay for information requested, nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. The Market Research Questionnaire will be available on or about November 2, 2022 and will be distributed solely through General Services Administration's Sam website. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation and/or amendments, will be distributed solely through this site.
Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit offers/quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The response date for the market research questionnaire is Monday, November 21, at 3 pm Central Time (CT). All responses to the Market Research Questionnaire must be submitted via email to llwheeler@bop.gov. No collect calls will be accepted. No telephone requests or written requests for the market research questionnaire will be accepted.
Please note: All contractors doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database. The website for registration is www.sam.gov. If you have questions about the SAM, Government procurements in general, or need assistance in the preparation of your quote, a local Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) may be able to help. The Procurement Technical Assistance Program was authorized by Congress in 1985 in an effort to expand the number of businesses capable of participating in the Government marketplace.
