Description

The Army Contracting command – Rock Island (ACC-RI) is issuing a Sources Sought Notice to identify potential sources that have the knowledge, experience, and technical capability to provide the necessary shredding services to the Joint Munitions Command (JMC) for a five year period.



SERVICES DESCRIPTION: Mobile shredding services shall be completed on-site at the Rock Island Arsenal (RIA) to ensure documents cannot be recreated and all material is permanently destroyed.



CRITICAL PROCESSES/SKILLS: The Contractor shall provide the necessary mobile, shredding equipment in support of RIA tenants located at various locations within JMC. Pickup shall occur every two weeks or on an as-needed basis. Approximately 30 locked and secure bins must be provided. The bins shall have wheels, be capable of holding an average of 200 pounds (64 gallon) and possess locking mechanisms and locks that can be opened with a master key. The bins must be an adequate size for small rooms. The contractor will be responsible for cleaning any spillage, coordinating services with a point of contact at JMC, and will need to ensure all material is secured until its final destruction destination.



RESPONSES: Interested companies who consider themselves capable of performing this service are invited to indicate their interest by providing the U.S. Government with the following information:



1. Does your company have the capability to perform all required services in the draft PWS?





2. Does your company have similar or previous experience with the type of work outlined in the draft PWS?





3. Provide a capabilities statement describing the facilities, personnel experience, quality control, past experience, technical skill and performance capabilities.





4. Will you need to subcontract our areas of the PWS? If so, would it be more than 50 percent subcontracted?





5. Identify and include a brief summary of any potential main subcontractors and identify key components or processes that would be subcontracted.





6. Does the attached draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) contain information to adequately allow you to respond to an RFP? What additional information would be helpful?



7. Identify your company’s size status for the identified NAICS code in your response.





This is a Sources Sought Notice. This is not a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts or quotations. This is for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the Government. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this market survey or otherwise pay for information solicited. Industry responses to this sources sought do not represent binding offers, and the Government cannot accept an industry response to form a binding contract. The Government intends to use any information submitted in response to this request to develop an acquisition strategy for future requirements of this item. All submissions are requested electronically within 30 calendar days of this publication. All information submitted will be held in a confidential status. All companies interested in a potential future solicitation for this item must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM).
